I’ve been sitting on this information for at least a month. Frankly, I was hoping the Westerly Sun would publish it and I could just make snarky comments about it without the liability of being a source. But the Westerly Sun could not find the truth nor a morsel of journalistic integrity if either bit them on the ass.
But I can’t wait any longer.
If you recall, our former building inspector (Charles Mauti) sued the Town of Westerly because they improperly arrested him. It got uglyier but Westerly settled for $100,000 because the WPD had been very, very bad. One of their Captains retired in the wake of the incident.
Mauti is now suing a lot of people in Hopkinton, including the Police Chief and the Town Manager. I have attached two documents from the suit that were passed to me off the publicly available PACER database. To the best of my knowledge, these documents are public documents and I provide them in that vein. Feel free to email me if you disagree, I check it once a month.
I have LOTS of PACER documents. These two are the most telling. I won’t spoil the details but I have a hard time believing that anyone is going to survive this lawsuit with their jobs intact. It does explain why DeLibero is trying to get out of dodge as fast as possible.
One last irony before you read all the incredibly juicy details: the Sun gleefully published every account of alleged Mauti malfeasance during the time that the fiasco erupted. In the wake of alleged Scuncio/HPD malfeasance, they have been eerily silent. I wonder if they have a conflict of interest? Or any scruples at all?

DiLibero’s going to Charlestown yea Hopkinton’s almost free of him. I hope their very,very well insured ! Poor souls better them than us ! For sure. Gluttons for punishment !We’ll gift wrap him , chauffeur limo him over the line and we’ll come out a lot cheaper than what he can cost us in the end . Now I can sleep oh well not until I know he’s out of town.Keeping one eye open. Maybe Scuncio will even give him Police escort . Curious sight that would be he might make a detour .oh oh ———- !

A lil’ while ago Doug Reese Director of HPW [former Westerly police dept]sold his truck to Flood Ford. Then Hopkinton went and bought it from Flood. Now Brad Ward [ bldg inspt] drives it. Mauti drove his own vehicle. Now why would the town burden the citizens with that purchase? I mean wasn’t it understood that the belt was to be tightened. Somebody please find out why your $$ was spent unnecessarily !

I clicked on to that freewebs above those depositions , Killian ,Fitzpatrick.Ben Tickner are dynamic ! They are covering up for Ben Tickner I see he works for Hopkinton and North Kingston [where DiLibero resides] as a Reservist and is a member of both Police Fraternal organizations.
His ip add goes back to link proving he cyberstalked M. Sheldon on youtube. State PD computer crimes unit blatantly state they didn’t pursue investigation in to Mr Tickner. He was also working in the same unit at the time the cycberstalking took place. How interesting,did he use their computers too !
Selected enforcement then Hopkinton paid for his atty ??
I imagine M. Sheldon must have a legal firm watching how the dice are falling then they will come in and finish up!
It’s very frustrating watching such an abuse of police power,town manager Mr DiLibero ,State Police etc.
I have seen Mrs Sheldon in town one day she’s not doing well ,an older woman,with a walker and not much money. Seemed like easy pickings to all the above, boomerang ! Never judge a book by it’s cover.
Mauti’s Atty Gyorgy is a Master of Law I’ll put his name in my directory.
I know this is going to cost millions in the end for us so we best make sure to keep a better handle on town,mgr and police.

Yes on the very day he was selected the Westerly Sun’s Wood River Press [free paper] Had a 3 page spread on DiLibero and town . Painting a perfect image!! Now how much did that cost and why did we get the bill ! In his quiet sneaky way he giggled ahh what chumps.We should be reimbursed for his coverage.
Well he’s out and now Charlestown will learn all about the dark side of him .
The employees better hang on to their seats. Some Hopkinton employees scheduled necessary surgery’s and procedures quickly ,whereas they feared they were being exited !
Watch out for those quiet ones ! I would rather have a vocal one. At least I know what their thinking .
Now a new brave manager for us ! One that thinks for himself and isn’t run by the puppeteer !
